Chet Murphy has been a Winchester resident for close to 50 years and is the proud founder of M&M Landscaping and Rubbish Removal, Inc.
Chet's passion for the game of golf inspired his dream of a landscaping business. He worked, studied and played the surfaces of the Woburn and Winchester Country Club and he decided to start the company in Winchester in 1976. The recycling/rubbish removal interest came after working at homes in Winchester and realizing there was a need to collect weekly at homes and businesses. The reigns of the business were passed down to his daughter and new owner, Dawn Marie, who was recently recognized as a Certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO)

Dawn runs the company with her husband, Gary Johnson. Their daughter, Victoria, and son-in-law, Anthony Bellanti are involved in day to day operations. Six other long time employees comprise the rest of the talented crew.
Since its founding, M&M has intended to keep the community of Winchester clean, green and beautiful.
